III supports the CFA pile installation by a unique,
self developed, concept – MALI
Effect
At the end of the penetration phase, the auger
reacts like a piston, while the ground surrounding behaves
like a cylinder.
When we apply concrete pressure, an upward force
is created. We call this force – MALI
Effect force.
The MALI Effect
upward pushing force is equal to the concrete pressure times
the cross section of the auger. As the last in known, and
the force is measured – the MALI
Effect can easily be calculated. |
|
|
The realization of MALI Effect
based controlling loop is relied on four points:
•
Point one is the ground level, with no tension in the lifting
cable.
•
Point two is the tension in the lifting cable, while holding
the auger above ground level.
•
Point three is the depth of the pile.
•
Point four is the tension in the lifting cable while
holding the auger and the soil on top of it.
With no concrete pressure, there is no MALI
Effect lifting force. Therefore, the tension in the
lifting cable will follow line 4-2.
|
TomTech III instructs the
operator to follow a line which is parallel to line 4-2,
but has an offset of the needed MALI
Effect force to the left.
The lifting cable applies a force which is smaller
then needed by the MALI Effect
force amount.

| MALI Effect
based measuring system has some major advantages over the
traditional way:
•
MALI Effect is based on real, physical, measurements.
•
No assumptions, no correlations, nor mysteries parameters.
•
Accurate and reliable. No 4 Bars dead zone, nor illusionary
profile.
•
No sensors connected to the rotary head, nor rubber membranes.
•
Non influenced by kelly bar extension.
MALI Effect reflects
the real, effective, concrete pressure at the bottom of the
auger.
Once there is MALI Effect force,
there is positive concrete pressure.
Positive concrete pressure maintains the stability
of the soil and prevents debris from mixing with the poured
concrete. |
|
MALI Effect proves
itself to be precise and trusty. If pressure builds up, MALI
Effect force follows, and the control loop functions.
It is valid for any kind of soil, drilling rig, auger shape,
ground condition, concrete type, weather, and pile diameter.
MALI Effect is based on universal,
physical concept. |

TomTech
III guides the operator, through the casting phase
of the CFA pile, by unique way.
Instead of reading indicators and taking decisions, the operator
is asked to keep the big arrow (inside the red ellipse) within
the two small arrows zone – like a video game.
Once the big arrow stays inside the two small arrows zone,
it means that there is positive MALI
Effect, and the casting process is safe.

the "old" generation instruments.
According to the tradition of TOMER SYSTEMS
B.V. , parallel to declaring the MALI
Effect, the company also presents two additional innovations:
AUGER
Meter - real concrete volume meter
AUGER
Meter is a registrated patent of TOMER
SYSTEMS B.V., (Reg.no.128873).
TOMER
Mode a new operator interface.
